Partial Event Summary:
The Participant Will:
- Review the surgical and radiological anatomy of the lumbar spine
- Discuss the principles and analyze the anterior, direct lateral, anterior oblique, and posterolateral, and posterior approaches to the lumbar spine and perform stabilization/fusion techniques using available instrumentation on specially prepared cadavers
- Discuss complex surgical cases for the degenerative and deformed spine, presented by expert faculty; evaluate reasonable treatment plans and surgical approaches based on interactive discussions
- Demonstrate and evaluate available interbody fusion devices, spacers, and instrumentation systems including devices used for motion preservation.
